Professional Recording Studio in Northern Ontario...
A Ward Beck Systems console and a 2 inch MCI analog 24 track tape machine consist of the main analog fixtures. Alternate digital recording mediums include Logic Audio running on a Mac G5 (plenty o' tracks) with RME 24 bit converters. The digital recording rig can be locked to the MCI 24 track deck via SMPTE for "flying" parts back & forth between mediums and/or for automated mixdowns.
The
control and tracking rooms were designed by Pilchner, Schoustal &
Associates, of Toronto. Patrick
Holder of Teletech in Markham handles the MCI maintenance & various repairs.
Wai-Man Fung of Polygon Console in Scarborough maintains, customizes &
otherwise coddles the Ward Beck console.
Studio
rates
are very competitive, with sessions booked on an hourly basis or in 10 hour
blocks at reduced rates. Special
pricing can also be negotiated for full length projects.
Professional studio musicians of varying styles are available to fill
almost every need.
A choice of convenient and reasonably priced accommodations & restaurants are less than a 5 minute drive away (including awesome deals for cottages on Lake Temiskaming).
Ogeriff
Studio is a small privately owned studio with relatively low overhead.
This allows us to focus more on "ultimate satisfaction" than
“production line volume”. After
all... the recording process
should be a creative and enjoyable experience.
