ECONOMICAL BRUSHING: The Sur-TracTM groomer mounted "BRUSHBAR" limb cutter...
...hard at work every time you groom your trail!Economical brushing tool, drastically reduces manual brushing. Clean cutting, no maintenance, easy operation.
Branches get snagged by the aggressive hardened blades, and are sliced as the groomer moves forward.
Solidly mounted to the drag body, the blade is always trimming the outside trail edge.
Not a "one-pass" solution, the blade catches a few more branches each time around the trail.
Heavy Duty industrial blades easily and cleanly slice through 3-inch branches. Blades are reversible for longevity.
The branch blade is over 8 feet high and with the added height of the 3-point hitch travel it reaches up over the cab.
Branches simply fall on top of the drag frame. Small branches that are pulled into the drag are usually covered up by the snow.
Great visibility allows the operator to easily monitor the blade.
Cutting thickly overgrown trails for the first time may require frequent unplugging... but it will keep cutting quite well in spite of heavy volume
When not required it simply folds in so as not to be in harms way. There are several angle positions and changing between positions is safe and easy.HIGH CAPACITY BRUSHING: The Sur-TracTM groomer mounted TREE LIMB CUTTER...
...no more hoisting chain saws over your head!Just one more reason to choose a Sur-TracTM groomer... the most efficient and operator friendly (and volunteer friendly!) groomer available! ![]()

Alamo "BUZZBAR" Saw Blade Head - 7'-6" cut!!!
Here's a 3-blade version.
The BuzzBar is available in 2, 3 and 4 blade format.
We've adapted an Alamo unit to fit the front of our Sur-TracTM groomers. The fact that we have a "Wrap-around Frame" design permits such loads without compromising structural integrity in the least.
"Torture-Testing" in the July heat, severely overgrown trails ( summer 2002).
The unit performed flawlessly!
Designed to be used in the winter, the cutter simply mounts in place of the front blade. Drag remains attached for regular steering action. Operating range is from 90deg up to 90deg down.![]()
It will be no problem to cut over 14 FEET high from the trail-sides, in only 2 PASSES! Brushing problems are now a thing of the past with a Sur-TracTM groomer.
the BuzzBar "reaches for the sky". Now THAT oughta be high enough!
Fact of the matter is that all bush trails eventually need maintenance... this unit will replace SEVERAL volunteers

The TLA is much smaller than its "Big Brother", the TSA.

Available in 80hp, 90hp and 100hp sizes.
The TLA drag features the same design concept and advantages as the large-format Sur-TracTM drags.

Built as ruggedly as the larger TSA units, it will operate under the same conditions.
Check out the TLA series Sur-TracTM groomer. You won't be disappointed!

In Feb/02 Warren, Claude & Ian from Ebert Welding headed off on a whirlwind 2 week tour of the Northern US. First stop, Brantigham NY for a demo.
Once the groomers were out & running, it was time to take care of a brake problem on our float!
Many thanks to the Brantingham club for their generous hospitalty!
After Brantigham it was off to Bill Cook's Groomer show in Newport Ctr. VT.
Several groomer manufacturer's showed off their units. It was a great "Ride & Drive" show.
Operator's from VT, ME, NY, & even NH were there for a hands-on experience with a groomer of their choice. (isn't that Rick Engasser driving the TM125?)
All of us from Ebert's had a blast! Here Warren & Claude are "hard at work".
Bill Cook did everything he could to sell Ian a SnoCat... too bad Ian forgot his wallet at home!
Nancy however seemed right at home in the blue beast! (side note - Nancy took the TM125 for a test run and broke the record for highest grooming speed all weekend!)
Talk about a scenic location. Many thanks to Bill & Nancy Cook for putting on such a great show!!!
Claude from Ebert's was "swept up" by the new Sur-Trac drag.
After Cook's show it was off to Jackman ME for a training session with the local club and their TM125.
The grooming gang in Jackman ME... They love their Sur-Trac TM125!
Then it was on to Miramichi New Brunswick to deliver the TM125 that they so graciously allowed us to use on our trip through the northern US. Thanks guys!
After spending the day with the Miramichi Sno-Goers Warren, Claude & Ian headed back to Northern Ontario for a well deserved break.
On January 4/5-02 we attended the New York State Grooming Show hosted by the Salisbury Ridgerunners Snowmobile Club Inc.
Our TS110 Sur-Trac groomer proved to be quite an attraction, and was kept busy on the test track.
Michelle Johnson's reaction was typical of everyone who drove the TS110... very surprised at it's agility, comfort and features.
Michelle's smile tells the story! (By the way, within 15 minutes she was running the TS110 like she'd been driving it for years).
Mike Witzeling of SnowTrack LLC was there to help spread the good word on Sur-Trac groomers. Thanks Mike!!!
Doesn't the TS110 look good in front of the Salisbury Ridgerunners' clubhouse? (Wadaya think, Mike, John, Fred?)THANK YOU Salisbury Ridgerunners for an awesome show!
Right after the NYS show it was off to the Folsom Trailblazers in Strykersville NY to conduct training on their new TS110. As the photo shows, there'll be no lack of volunteer operators!
Many thanks to Scott Graph (standing on tracks) of the Folsom Trailblazers for the incredible hospitality and
dedication to grooming.

The TC45D
small format groomer
While not in the "high speed" grooming category, its diesel lugging power, great traction, great hill climbing ability, and especially great trail results certainly make up for it.
Built around a New Holland compact diesel unit, it retains the advantages of the ag tractor design.
The TC45D shares the same design principles of larger Sur-TracTM units.
The TC45D drag is also drastically reduced in size and weight, but features the same design concept and advantages as the large-format Sur-TracTM drags.
Comfy heated cab, swivel seat, tilt/telescopic steering, 2-range hydrostatic tranny with single speed powershift.
Not just a lightweight "packer" vehicle, the TC45D can handle the heavy load demands of aggressive grooming.
The end result... a harder, denser, flatter, more sled resistant trail than possible with a lighter unit... yet still in a compact package!
Our prototype exceeded all of our performance expectations at the Salisbury Groomer show in New York... right in the middle of a Nor'Easter!
Deep snow?... no problem!
...GROOMING DISASTERS!!!
(or, ..."what some volunteers go through to keep the trails smooth")the following section is dedicated to all who have ever "enjoyed" the challenge of surprise "on-trail situations". These photos are not meant to demean any one or any product (obviously, as we feature our own units as part of the fun!). These things can happen to any club... so check out the photos to see what all groomer operators fear most. If you've ever been in a similar situation, take heart in the fact that you are not alone. Enjoy.
PS... if you have any photos of your own club's "fun groomer moments" and would like to share them, just email them to us with a description and we'll post them here. We'll even edit the photos to hide club names and people's faces to protect the "innocent".
...and to think we just washed it!
