NEWSFLASH!
The New Holland TS series
has been completely upgraded!

The new series is called the TS"A" series, and features MANY exciting changes and improvements.  We built and tested the first prototype Sur-TracTM unit in February-March 2004, and it looks like we have another winner!  Stay tuned for complete specs and details, but for now check out the following Prototype TS115A photos.

Here are some of the new features;

• Narrower overall width = 8'-4" wide!
• Bigger track footprint = each track is 30" wide x 12'-6" long... same as the TM series!
4 OR 6 cylinder turbo engines!
• Incredible "Torque Rise"
• Electronic 3-point hitch control with digital height display (like TM series)!
• Improved Powershift transmission (even better gear/speed selection)!
• New Heavy-Duty "Industrial" rear tires & rims
• Improved visibility!
• Factory "Training Seat", padded, with seat belt!
• Completely redesigned cabs, more comfortable  than ever!

and much more!... Stay tuned for details, or call us Toll Free (1-866-476-6899)

NOTE:  This is not the final appearance... there are still "finishing touches" like sealed toolboxes under the fenderwells, snow deflectors, auxiliary fuel tanks, additional trim, etc. that have been added since these photos were taken.

The prior model TS110 as described below is no longer available, and there is no "old stock" left.
The following info will be left on the website for a short while, then replaced with all new TS"A" specifications and descriptions.

The 4 cylinder model TS110 combines the power of an extremely high torque, large c.i.d. turbocharged diesel engine, with the ultimate control of a powershift transmission.  A state of the art super comfort cab promotes extended grooming hours with less stress and fatigue.  Superior visibility also contributes to operator comfort.  Access to all maintenance areas is second to none, encouraging regular inspection, for increased peace of mind.

Here are a few main features that elevate our New Holland Sur-TracTM groomers above the competition:

At a modest 108 engine horsepower, the TS110 groomer actually has more tractive power than conventional hydrostatic units of up to 180hp.  How is this possible?  By physical design, hydrostatic pumps and motors are very inefficient and require much more power to operate.  As well, a completely hydraulic system has a built in pressure relief point, and once this threshold is attained, any extra input power is simply “blown by” the system.  The New Holland TS110 farm tractor on the other hand, was conceived and has evolved over the years with the main objective of pulling power and mechanical longevity under extreme conditions.  The engine output goes directly to the transmission via a series of multiple disc oil bath clutch packs.  There is no power wasted in this direct transfer.  From the transmission, power is directly transferred to the differential, then the rear axles, which directly drive the tracks.  Don’t believe this?  Simply put the TS110 and a hydrostatic driven unit of any make, on the same drag in the same conditions, and see which one out pulls the other.  There is no disputing actual physical results.

When comparing to conventional synchro-shift tractor groomers, a powershift transmission allows for more productive "speed matching" to trail conditions.  If a change in speed is required (cornering, hill climbing, road/bridge crossing, going through deep drifts, meeting sleds, etc.), all the operator does is push the “downshift button” to slow, and the “upshift button” to speed up.  It’s as simple as that.  The engine rpm is never touched so maximum power is always available.  The end result is faster grooming with less fuel consumption.

More importantly, the ability to shift gears on the fly, under full load without clutching or uncoupling the engine/transmission allows for better control of track slippage when climbing or in deep snow conditions.  The key to traction is not to allow the tracks to “break away” from the trail surface (commonly know as “spinning-out”).  Too high of a gear and the tractor stalls...  Too low of a gear and the tractor “overpowers” thus spinning-out the tracks.  With a powershift transmission the operator can compensate for varying tractive conditions with a push of a button.

Powershifting is simply done by pushing either the upshift or the downshift button...  It’s that simple!

There is no "dry organic" clutch disc to burn out.  The New Holland powershift uses multiple disc wet cerametallic clutch packs for long life.  It is impossible to "grind the gears" when powershifting.  Inexperienced operators can concentrate on learning and perfecting the art of grooming, without having to worry about damaging the tractor.  There is even a low oil shutdown function to protect all hydraulic components.

The New Holland powershift has been on the market in it’s current form since 1991.  There are almost 100 of our New Holland Sur-TracTM groomers on the trails with this transmission, operating trouble-free and very well liked by all operators.
